
DC Metro Train Collision
On Monday 22nd of June 2009, just before 5p.m. in downtown Washington D.C. people were flying in the trains because of the collision between tow Metro trains. Metro is the short form of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

9 was reported dead and 56 with minor injuries, 12 with moderate injuries while two are in severe condition. Five of them has been identified.
Metro has identified them as: 59-year-old Mary Doolittle of Northwest D.C.; 40-year-old Ana Fernandez of Hyattsville; 64-year-old Dennis Hawkins of Southeast D.C.; 23-year-old Lavonda “Nikki” King of Northeast D.C. and 42-year-old Jeanice McMillan of Springfield, Va., the operator of one of the trains involved in the collision.
The cause of the collision is yet not known and will be found out within few days time.This is really a very serious tragedy and such thing never happened since the operation of Metro. And it should be quite impossible for it to happen because of the scheduled time table. Well, everybody is asking the same question, what is the cause of the accident.
May the soul of the victims rest in peace and may peace be restored into the heart of the family of the victims.
